A Co Monaghan garden designer is celebrating after receiving gold at this years Bord Bia Bloom.
Declan McKenna is the in-house designer at Silverstream Landscapes in Monaghan.
Declan was a finalist in the Horticulturist of the Year 2012 and competed in the 2013 series of RTÉ’s Super Garden.
The North Monahan man said he was delighted to get his hands on the gold title after a number of attempts.
He has designed and built award-winning Show Gardens at Bord Bia Bloom in 2015, 2023 and 2024.
This contemporary garden is designed in collaboration with fashion designer and television presenter, Brendan Courtney.
Declan says it’s great to be back this year again and winning the top award is extra special for him.
