The cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx announced that it is shutting down its trading platform due to a prolonged market downturn, declining trading volumes, and rising regulatory costs.
As of September 15, the exchange has stopped accepting new users. Starting September 22, futures and margin trading will be suspended, and on September 29, CoinEx will completely cease spot trading.
The company emphasized that its reserves exceed 100% and that user funds are fully secured.
Asset withdrawals will remain available until December 22, 2026. Funds that users do not withdraw by that date will be transferred to a separate paid storage service. The monthly fee for this service will be 5%.
At the same time, CoinEx Wallet and CoinEx Vault will continue to operate as usual, as these services are independent of the exchange’s trading platform.
