Braemont Partners with Thought Logic as Renovus Exits

Braemont Capital has agreed to acquire Thought Logic, a consultancy that helps large companies carry out complex technology, data, and artificial-intelligence overhauls, from Renovus Capital Partners.

Thought Logic helps Fortune 500 and other large enterprises actually complete the sprawling technology and operating changes that companies often struggle to finish, from modernizing finance and data systems to deploying analytics and AI tools.

The company’s consultants work across three areas: business enablement, which improves finance, human resources, revenue, and operations functions; technology enablement, covering data platforms, analytics, and artificial intelligence; and core transformation, which handles process improvement and organizational change. Many of Thought Logic’s customers operate in the financial services and consumer packaged goods sectors.

Thought Logic positions itself against larger legacy consultancies by embedding senior practitioners in client teams rather than staffing engagements with junior analysts billed by the hour, and by tying its fees to measurable outcomes. That model has made it a repeat partner to blue-chip clients navigating cloud, data, and AI projects that touch core operations.

Thought Logic was founded in 2014 by CEO Keith Roberts and is headquartered in Atlanta, with additional offices in Nashville, Minneapolis, Richmond, and Washington and delivery teams spread across dozens of states as well as Colombia and India.

“From the beginning, we have built Thought Logic around exceptional people, deep client trust and a commitment to delivering practical, measurable outcomes,” said Mr. Roberts. “Braemont shares our values and ambition, and their experience scaling service-based businesses, together with the reach of their network, makes them an ideal partner for our next phase of growth. This partnership gives us additional resources to invest in our team, expand our capabilities and create even greater impact for the clients we serve.”

Renovus first invested in the company in 2020. Over the following years the company completed two add-on acquisitions and tripled its revenue while pivoting toward digital and AI transformation work.

“When we invested in Thought Logic in 2020, we saw a founder-led consultancy with an exceptional blue-chip client base and a real opportunity to build a broader technology and data platform around that trust,” said Atif Gilani, a founding partner at Renovus.

The US management consulting market reached about $132.3 billion in 2026 and is projected to grow to $168.5 billion by 2031, a compound annual growth rate of roughly 4.9%, according to Mordor Intelligence.

Digital and AI transformation work is the fastest-growing part of that market, as companies fold cloud migration, generative-AI deployment, and cybersecurity into enterprise-wide programs rather than running them as separate projects. The narrower category of digital transformation consulting — Thought Logic’s core focus — was worth roughly $72.1 billion in the United States in 2025 and is expanding at a double-digit annual rate, according to Fortune Business Insights. Clients are also shifting toward outcome-based pricing that ties fees to measurable results rather than billable hours, a model that favors senior-led firms positioned against larger legacy consultancies.

Braemont makes control or minority investments of $25 million to $200 million of equity in North America-based companies operating in the insurance and financial services, commercial and infrastructure services, and tech-enabled business services sectors. The firm closed its inaugural fund in April 2023 with $525 million of capital commitments. Braemont was founded in 2021 by Managing Partner Robert Covington and is headquartered in Dallas with additional offices in Charlotte and New York.

“Thought Logic embodies the qualities we look for in our partner companies – an exceptional, founder-led management team, a blue-chip client base built on enduring relationships and a customer-first culture centered on delivering real results,” said Mr. Covington. “As demand for enterprise transformation accelerates, Thought Logic has built a specialized delivery model that stands apart from the legacy firms. We’re proud to execute our shared Invest to Build plan alongside Keith and his team and scale the business while preserving what has made it so successful. And having grown up in Atlanta, I’m especially proud to partner with a company so deeply rooted in the city.”

Renovus invests in companies active in the education, healthcare services, technology services, and professional services sectors with at least $3 million of EBITDA and enterprise valuations of $10 million to $200 million. In October 2024, Renovus held an oversubscribed and above-target closing of its fourth private equity fund, Renovus Capital Partners IV Core Buyout LP and parallel vehicles, with $875 million of capital. Renovus was founded in 2010 and is based in the Philadelphia suburb of Wayne, Pennsylvania.

“Over the past several years, Keith and his team pivoted the business toward digital and AI transformation, completed two acquisitions, and tripled revenue,” said Jane Buckley, a vice president at Renovus. “We’re proud of what we built together and confident Braemont is the right partner to carry that momentum forward.”

Guggenheim Securities was the financial advisor to both Thought Logic and Renovus Capital Partners on this transaction.
