Botswana Minerals’ AI-driven exploration programme in Botswana identifies copper, silver anomalies

Botswana Minerals PLC (AIM/BSE: BMIN) has identified copper,
silver and lead-zinc mineralisation at its licences in the southern
African nation.

In an update on April 20, the company said its AI-driven
exploration programme over its two permits in Ngamiland in
north-western Botswana is progressing well.

It identified copper and silver anomalies stretching
approximately 9.5 km and 20km respectively.

Botswana Minerals said it hit a core zone of lead-zinc
mineralisation, which is about 2.4 km long within a larger trend to
the west.  It also recognised several possible deposit types,
including Irish type (MVT), carbonate replacement, hydrothermal,
and potential skarn systems.

The next stage of work at Ngamiland, Botswana Minerals stated,
will include more detailed magnetic and gravity data analysis,
additional geochemical testing, integration of hyperspectral
satellite data, and a full review of historical drilling
records. It will use AI-assisted analysis to strengthen the
geological interpretation.

John Teeling, Botswana Minerals’ chairman, commented,

‘These early results are good. There are emerging copper, silver
and lead zinc patterns in the new data. The AI models we are using
assist with better and quicker interpretations of the data. Our
objective is simple and clear. Identify drill targets.’

The results from the exploration campaign are helping the
company move from a broad regional view to more clearly defined
targets.
