Constantine Gonticas
SEDA Experts has appointed Constantine Gonticas as Managing Director, adding a financial industry veteran with nearly four decades of experience across private equity, investment banking, direct investment and corporate governance.
Gonticas joins the New York-based expert witness firm after holding senior positions at Blackstone, Novator Partners, Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse First Boston. His appointment expands SEDA’s expertise in private equity, investment banking and corporate governance, including matters involving Central and Eastern European markets.

Gonticas currently invests in private equity through his own firm, Green Square Capital. During his career, he has worked with many of the largest companies in Central and Eastern Europe as both an investor and investment banker and was among the finance professionals entering the region in the early 1990s.
From 2012 to 2017, Gonticas served as a Senior Advisor in Private Equity at The Blackstone Group. Before Blackstone, he was Managing Partner of Novator Partners, a private investment firm focused on direct investments in Central and Eastern Europe.
At Novator, Gonticas sourced investments including PLAY, Netia and Forthnet. He also played a role in the creation of PLAY, the Polish mobile telecommunications company.
Earlier in his career, Gonticas served as Head of EEMEA Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for investment banking activities across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He previously spent 12 years in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston.
His background also includes extensive corporate governance experience across public and privately held European companies. Gonticas currently serves as Chairman of DIMAND S.A., which is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, and has served as a Director of Millwall Holdings Plc since 2005.
He previously served as Vice Chairman of PLAY, Netia and Forthnet.
At SEDA, that combination of transaction, investment and board-level experience will support the firm’s work providing expert witness and advisory services in financial disputes and other complex matters involving private equity, investment banking and corporate governance.
Gonticas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Oxford.
